Raising the Baby Universe of You

We're growing up. We're beginning to unfold, to awaken a little bit more to the real profundity of ourselves and this world and universe.

As we sit here and just be, the wholeness, the reality, the Self, the present moment Pure Awareness of Now gets an opportunity to fall back to itself and become more awake within itself. The Being turns back upon itself and feels its own wholeness and fullness a little bit more just as we sit here and allow. It doesn't really matter what state of Consciousness we are in. We just allow.

There is a field, an ocean of silent presence and fullness that is everywhere – everywhere in the space all around right now as you read this. It's been here all along, but it may not have been noticed. This is because when the attention is on the small self, on the little me, then there's no room for that wholeness. But when we get an opportunity like this to just open up to more of the spaciousness and the Presence that is everywhere here all around us now, well, it's quite a beautiful thing.

As wholeness itself gets to know and be with itself, the frame of reference shifts — it's no longer the mind-body-person that is awake to the wholeness, but the wholeness itself that opens up more deeply to its own openness and fullness through the appearances of body-mind form, and the entire world around us.

It's this frame of reference that comes awake. It just comes awake. And of course, it includes all frames of reference, all viewpoints, because it's ultimately beyond them all.

It just opens up more to itself. And this is a beautiful thing because when it is at the utmost infinite reality of itself and can view itself from that really pristine, divine perspective, then there's really nothing but that. It finds that everything is made out of that boundless wholeness of divine freedom and perfection.

It just continually looks into itself, and as it does, it's really creating a free-fall surrender within itself. It's creating the ocean of Consciousness itself, and the very sense of existence within that. It's creating the entire creation and the appearance of the body-mind-person that we walk around in. But really, it's not doing anything — it's just what is already right here, now, Present.

From this lofty perspective — which includes all perspectives — it sees very clearly all the levels of the creation, everything, everywhere. And it sees that at the point of you, your body-mind, it's sort of like a baby universe. Within this body-mind-person that we're all sitting in is a universe, a whole creation. And so, obviously, there are lots and lots of universes.

Each person is a universe in embryo – a baby universe. And it's that baby universe, here in the little body-mind, that is opening up to its reality as the whole apparent universe. One little baby universe includes not only the body-mind and all perceptions and ideas, but also the whole expanse of what we believe to be this ever-expanding universe. Your body is a universe in gestation in the womb of pure Divinity. We've never, ever left the womb of pure Divinity, nor could we.

So we begin to get a clearer picture of what the refining and culturing that is happening in each individual body-mind. Your body-mind is a point through which the universe can know itself.

It's like an embryo. All these little embryos here in this world, opening up to what they really are as a complete, full universe. And can you imagine the beautiful womb of pure Divinity giving birth to all these millions and billions of universes there simultaneously, all at once? This is not an analogy. Maybe the words seem to be, and we get our own ideas and concepts from them. But no, no, no. What happens is that the Awareness in the little embryo of you begins to grow, expand and open more and more to its total pure divine reality.

Of course, at some point it shifts to being Awareness itself. In Cosmic Consciousness, it finds out, "Oh, I'm not this little body-mind. I am that Awareness itself." And that continues to grow, open, and unfold. The real Self finds that it incorporates all of these objects and phenomena as well. It used to think it was just that little embryo, but it's much more grand than that.

What has been growing and opening up is Consciousness itself. It is opening up more to what it actually is. And when it opens to refined Unity Consciousness, or Unity in God Consciousness, and becomes more awake to all of these flows of intelligence and the entire field of creation within that, it finds that all the qualities of itself are beautiful, joyful, blissful, waves of bliss. Something naturally beautiful is opening up in Consciousness itself as it experiences its wholeness and fullness at the point of your body-mind.

As we sit here, a degree of Consciousness itself is constantly in its process of experiencing itself, knowing itself, feeling itself, and being awake to itself and awake within itself. This is taking place in waking, dreaming, and sleeping — it's just fully awake and flowing within itself. And that continual flow is happening right through our perceptions — through seeing, hearing, and feeling. The wholeness itself swells a little more as it opens to itself and becomes as if more pregnant, more full, more fulfilled.

The entire ocean of Consciousness is becoming awake to itself at the point of individual body-mind appearance. And right here now, while we're awake with eyes open reading this, its presence all around becomes more present and more palpable – so grand and whole, that even the mind can sense the presence in the space all around becoming more alive, more lively...

It just continues to open itself up to itself more and more, and delights in the constant experience of itself, enjoying the perpetual smile within itself. Because all of the laws of nature come awake, they come awake in the wholeness, in the silence, in the Presence, everywhere in space, all around us. It's just the perpetual flow of Consciousness within itself that is the universal intelligence creating the appearance of the little body-mind at a point within itself, and the world and universe at every point within the infinity of itself.

Now, in Unity Consciousness, we are and encompass everything in this world and beyond. We're pregnant with all of the qualities of intelligence, and become awake and alive within it. And it's a beautiful thing because the field of Consciousness we awaken to and become, has to grow into and experience the fullness of itself. And in the refinement of itself, it comes awake to all of the universal qualities of intelligence that structure the entire creation on all levels simultaneously. That's what it opens up to, or begins to open up to in the refined perception in Unity Consciousness. And we just enjoy the beautiful flow of being Consciousness itself, awake to the flows of intelligence within itself – the flows of bliss within itself right now while the eyes are reading these words. What a beautiful thing!

Then another shift takes place beyond Consciousness to its source within the nothingness of itself. It's not that Consciousness loses any of the refined perception it has gained in Unity. It's just that the Nothingness itself is so much more dominant than the perpetual flow of beauty, love, joy, and that whole beautiful divine reality. We can't call it silence. We can't really call it anything. We call it Nothingness. It just becomes more profound. It's a joy — though it's really beyond all joys and miseries. It's beyond all qualities of all the world-universe, beyond the whole field of intelligence. It's beyond everything.

There is no possible way we can pinpoint or use words to describe it at all. And that Brahman — a word that people think is such a big deal — means Nothing. It literally means Nothing. And that's what awakens. It awakens to that.

So what was all that Unity in God Consciousness about? Because it's gone beyond it all. But has it? Has it really? Maybe for a time. But then it begins to open up and awaken to the faint impulses of something more exquisite, more beautiful, more sublime, more divine than anything experienced before in that beautiful refined Unity Consciousness. It's not that the Nothingness is different from it. It's only experiencing itself from a different perspective. That's all. Consciousness is just perceiving itself from a perspective beyond itself.

And then that perspective opens up. The perspective itself opens up to something beyond the Brahman and the Parabrahman. People think Parabrahman means Pure Divinity. No, not quite. It is still in the process of opening up further. And at some point, a wholeness greater than the Brahman and the Parabrahman together opens and awakens. It becomes awake to what it has been all along as this grand womb of Pure Divinity itself. And the womb of pure Divinity — that has given rise to all these baby universes — grows. The embryo of Consciousness, in that individual body-mind, grew up more to its Cosmic Consciousness, its Unity Consciousness, its Brahman Consciousness and beyond.

Then at some point, the whole field of Pure Divinity, this pure Supreme Divine Reality in the wholeness all around disguised in the appearance of everything — the only thing that has ever been — can appreciate Herself, and surrender within Herself. She can fully surrender in that perpetual surrender of Herself within Herself — that which has given rise to the creator, maintainer, destroyer, nothingness and reappearance –– She finds out that the body, Self, Consciousness, Intelligence, the world, universe and all creation have been a field of Her own recreation all along.

The perpetual surrender and praise within itself have created the ultimate force of evolution, giving rise to the appearance of everything. This is what the little embryo of Consciousness itself — once localized and lost and caught in being just a little body-mind in the appearance of you — finds out about itself. This is the reality that opens up.

Of course, some of the words used are only analogies, but the reality we've been pointing to all along is not. This is what it is. This is what you are. This is beyond any you or me or my or world or universe. It is the reality that is and has always been present right here, now. It is the simplest thing, simpler than we could have ever possibly imagined. Because in this Presence here, right now, around us all, there is a constant praise taking place. It has been happening all along through and in the appearance of these forms, through the Consciousness, every split second, right here, now. And we've been missing that perpetual praise, the perpetual glory that has been opening up to discover itself as all there is. That's all that has ever been in the first place.

We have to have gratitude for our own body, our own little cosmic embryo of Consciousness. Because it awakens to the universal reality of itself, the cosmic body, the cosmic mind, the cosmic personality, the cosmic feelings, cosmic everything, and then it's that cosmic ocean of everything that even goes beyond itself, to remember and come awake to the total supreme Divinity that all of this has been, present right in front of us all along. All levels of creation have been here all along, initially and constantly propelled by that divine surrender.

But it is only and has only ever been divine surrender, pure Divinity surrendering to itself and just praising itself and cultivating all of these little body-minds to come awake — just come awake to what they really are, to who you really are.

What a joy! What a creation! At some point, it just surrenders. It just surrenders, and surrenders, and surrenders. It's just all divine surrender, creating this baby universe of you. It's beautiful. Really, really beautiful!

This is the story of creation in a nutshell, and the reason for creation in the first place. It's all pure Divinity duplicating Herself. Not for the purpose of duplicating Herself, but to come awake to Herself as She actually is through the appearance of all these forms and to reveal to Herself more of Her own inexhaustible beauty, exquisiteness and endless pure Divine Majesty and Glory.

And you can see in the world that we are experiencing growing pains at every point, everywhere. So we can only have compassion for what is transpiring in this little, tiny world here that we think is so important.

We've just laid out a reality you won't hear on CNN, but this is what we're opening up to. So let's just continue to gestate, cultivate, culture and unfold the little baby universe of our body-mind awareness, and let go…
